The approach in the Toolkit which relates to staff is Teaching Assistants (TAs). This approach contains significant variation and schools should explore the underpinning research to understand the common features in the study of effective TA approaches. Overall, TAs have a positive impact on student achievement, however this can be maximized with thoughtful implementation decisions.
