Evidence for Learning: Evidence-informed decision making

Evidence-informed decision making

Why is evidence-informed decision making important for schools?

Summary

School leaders are professionals who make evidence-informed decisions. Evidence for Learning has focused on supporting evidence-informed decision making through building, sharing and encouraging the use of evidence. E4L has commissioned mixed method evaluations of programs in schools and shares the Teaching and Learning Toolkit (the Toolkit), a web based, open access global evidence summary of 34 approaches to teaching and learning. E4L has encouraged the use of evidence through developing implementation and in-school evaluation support services. These have focused on building the critical and evaluative capacities of the profession.
