Cool.org is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2008. Cool’s mission is to enable educators to be the best they can be so that young people grow up happy, healthy, informed and empowered with the skills to help tackle our greatest challenges, creating a better world for all.

Today, E4L and Cool.org are pleased to share a discussion paper, the result of an investigation undertaken to explore using evidence within primary teaching resources. This partnership builds on a collaboration that embedded research evidence curated by E4L into Bluey Education Resources developed by Cool.org.

This investigation aimed to explore, and improve, how teachers understand and use research evidence embedded in teaching resources.

With our colleagues at Cool.org, we conducted a teacher survey, focus groups, and data analysis to inform Cool.org’s development of a new pilot resource, Unlikely Animal Friends. The discussion paper explores this process and the insights drawn from it which provide four recommendations and areas for discussion.

The full discussion paper is now available.
